Re: Call for papers for papers to practice podcast

Dear Chaiwe
thank you for your question.
The podcast project is still ongoing but as Laura and me both moved to a new position we did not have enough time for the 2024 season. Additionally anchor has been disactivated and we had to migrate the podcast to spotify:  podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/paperstopractice
However, CAWST has assigned a new person to support with the project and we have already recorded one episode for the next season on the topic of climate resilient sanitation with a paper from Leonnie and Barbara Evans from Leeds.
I really hope to find time for organizing and recording the next season in fall, so if there is anyone out there that would like to volunteer in supporting us getting this done, please contact me at dorothee dot spuhler at ost dot ch.
Please also feel free to suggest papers to be part of this podcast in the future!

Re: Call for papers for papers to practice podcast

Hi Dorothee,

This is brilliant! I can so easily have a listen as I drive home while stuck in traffic in the busy streets of Lusaka. Considering it isnt always possible to find time to read through the many awesome publications out there.   Just thought i share an extract of what the Podcast is about as extracted from the link you shared  Dorothee.

Papers to Practice By Laura Kohler & Dorothee SpuhlerA series where we take important sanitation-related publications and break them down in 45 minutes, making them more accessible to busy professionals working to deliver inclusive, safely managed sanitation services globally. We sit with authors and ask them who should know about the paper and what are the key points to be able to put these papers to practice.

Can you confirm whether this Podcast is still ongoing?

Regards,
Chaiwe

Call for papers for papers to practice podcast

Dear all
We are planning a third season of the papers to practice podcast.
There will be six episodes. This is a call for papers to be considered for this season.
The topics we want to cover are:
  • GHG emissions from sanitation and mitigation strategies (follow up from last
  • season)
  • Upgrading onsite sanitation in developing urban areas (including technology and financing
  • mechanisms)
  • FSM in humanitarian settings
The paper should be published in a peer reviewed paper and have relevant key messages for policy
makers and practitioners.
Please send your suggestions directly to me.
