State of Hand Hygiene Report (published by WHO and UNICEF)

Hi everyone,

Not sure if this has been shared yet, but a couple of weeks ago the State of the World's Hand Hygiene report was published by WHO and UNICEF.

You can read more and download it here:  www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789240036444

And here is a summary article:  www.who.int/news/item/15-10-2021-investi...f-thousands-of-lives

Re: State of Hand Hygiene Report (published by WHO and UNICEF)

Dear Dave,

Thanks for promoting this important publication. The Sanitation Learning Hub have recently published a blog providing a very brief overview of Hand Hygiene for South Asia , which draws on WHO and UNICEF's Global Hand Hygiene for All initiative and vision.

Almost 2 in 5 people in South Asia don't have a designated handwashing facility with soap & water on premises. This blog looks at South Asian countries currently producing national road maps to achieve hand hygiene for all. It provides links to Hand Hygiene Country Snapshots from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka - which shows progress so far

Blog authors are Nicole Klaesener-Metzner & Sue Cavill.

I hope people find it useful and complimentary to the WHO and UNICEF reports.

Best wishes
Elaine
