Introducing Rosa Care Organisation as a new partner organisation of SuSanA

We would like to welcome Rosa Care Organisation from Zimbabwe as a new SuSanA partner organisation!

The following text is taken from their application form and was written by the partner organisation themselves.

Description and Activities in Sustainable Sanitation:
Rosa Care Organisation’s was set up by concerned individuals to support and strengthen existing or budding community initiatives which focus on caring for orphans, empowerment of women, persons with disabilities and vulnerable children (adults), those with long term health conditions and carers to live the life of their choice and to reach their full potential. Based on a sponsorship programme.
Rosa Care Organisation’s goal is to give back a future to these vulnerable girls, women and affected children.

We are managing more than 20 educational projects across the Districts in Mashonaland East province. We are managing educational projects working with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in providing educational support to orphans and vulnerable children and this has now entered season 3 after receiving overwhelming response from the community, donors and other stakeholders. The project is essentially conceptualized and designed to create mass awareness about how collaborative efforts could improve awareness on water and sanitation amongst students, by improving the conditions of schools in the province. The project has been able to promote sustainable and innovative technology in water harvesting, sanitation/drinking water has benefited more than 5,000 children till now.

We are currently supporting healthcare for elderly, building clinics and supply of equipment and facilities, generating awareness and implementing Government health programmes, addressing health and sanitation issues with special focus on women and children in rural areas. We raise funds to support vulnerable groups across various communities to help focus on critical health-related issues that need urgent attention.
