Introducing Millennium Water Alliance: a current partner organisation of SuSanA

This is an introduction to one of our current partners.

The following text is taken directly from their application form and was written by the partner organisation themselves.

Description:
MWA is a permanent coalition U.S. based WASH NGOs. MWA members include:
CRS, CARE, Food for the Hungry, Living Water International, Lifewater International, Water.org, Water for People, World Vision. MWA implements WASH programs in Latin America, Ethiopia and Kenya.

Activities in Sustainable Sanitation:
The MWA and our members are actively engaged in providing WASH services in over 95 countries, reaching over 4 million beneficiaries in 2011. We strive to provide sustainable services through all of our projects, and our members have committed to longterm monitoring of projects through by signing our own Sustainability Charter.

Expectations in the Partnership:
As a coalition organization, we understand the benefits of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and accountability. We expect partnerships to foster the types of relationships that encourage these practices and provide a platform for mutual growth and sector wide planning.

Contribution to SuSanA:
The Millennium Water Alliance is a permanent alliance of the largest US based implementers of water, sanitation, and hygiene projects. Through the work of our members and our collaborative projects in Africa and Latin America, we have a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to share with SuSanA members and look forward to contributing to long-term monitoring practices to ensure sustainable sanitation.

Partner since: May 2012
