I was just trying to look at the document you mentioned here (Compendium of Technologies) but when I tried to open it, I found it is 250 MB large!?
This seems way too large for something you want people to download and read or is it more the printed version that you are trying to disseminate rather than the softcopy? (even I stopped the download and I am on a fast connection...)
Could you tell us how it differs from other similar pulications like the Eawac-Sandec Compendium of Sanitation Systems Technologies? I guess yours is specific for India? Does it include data on costs?
I did a quick Google search to try and find your project's website but this link did not work:

Anyway, I look forward to hearing more from you what the outcomes and learnings from this project in India were.

Providing adequate water supply and sanitation, particularly in urban areas, is a challenging task for governments throughout the world. This task is made even more difficult due to predicted dramatic global changes.
Project NaWaTech “Natural Water Systems and Treatment Technologies to cope with Water Shortages in Urbanised Areas in India” is a Indo-European research and development initiative aiming to explore, assess and enhance the potential of natural and compact water and wastewater treatment systems in order to improve their performance and reliability to cope with water shortages in India.
The Compendium of NaWaTech Technologies is an effort to pinpoint and describe water and wastewater technologies that could enable the sustainable water management in Indian cities. It is intended as a reference for water professionals in charge of planning, designing and implementing sustainable water systems in the Indian urban scenario, based on a decentralised approach. The NaWaTech Compendium does not aim to be an engineering manual for the detailed design and construction, and the objective of the NaWaTech consortium is to inspire practitioners, igniting the shift from the conventional end-of-pipe thinking to intelligent practices to come up with sustainable solutions to the water and sanitation crisis in urban India. This piece of work is the result of a joint effort of the specialists of the NaWaTech consortium, and was realised thanks to the support of the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India and the European Commission through its 7th Framework Program.

Project NaWaTech: Natural water systems and treatment technologies to cope with water shortages in urbanised areas in India

I would like to present our project NaWaTech “Natural Water Systems and Treatment Technologies to cope with Water Shortages in Urbanised Areas in India” financed by the European Commission through its 7th Framework Program and the Department of Science and Technology of India.
This Indian-European Research and Development initiative aims to explore, assess and enhance the potential of natural and compact water and wastewater treatment systems in order to improve their performance and reliability to cope with water shortages in India. These systems shall allow for the effective management of municipal water resources, water supply and sanitation services, and the municipal water cycle as a whole in urbanised areas.
Our consortium is composed by a group of 7 European and 7 Indian organisations, including the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute of India (NEERI), TTZ Bremerhaven, BOKU University, The Division of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Ecosan Services Foundation (ESF), seecon gmbh, BioAzul S.L., Shrishti Eco-Research Institute (SERI), IRIDRA S.L, India Water Works Association (IWWA), Kre_ta gmbh, Viraj Envirozing India Private Limited (VEIPL) and Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP).
We are currently preparing 4 research and implementation sites in Pune and Nagpur, in the state of Maharashtra, India, in which NaWaTech systems will be implemented in urban areas. We hope to have more news about our NaWaTech sites soon!
Furthermore, we will launch our Compendium of NaWaTech Technologies in our 1st NaWaTech International Workshop, that will take place on the 29th of November 2013 in Barcelona, Spain. Participation is open for all water practitioners (for more details please visit our web site www.nawatech.net).
