How to improve the water and sanitation situation in Malawi? Via a whole chain approach involving every stakeholder on the way from 'crap to crop'. Within the framework of EU WASH Poverty reduction and Improved health in Malawi, WASTE, Welt Hunger Hilfe, WES and the EU have partnered to improve water, sanitation and health in Mangochi, Liwonde and Zomba. The partners use the Diamond Approach (for more information see the WASTE webiste: www.waste.nl) to boost the local private sector and create an enabling environment for local water and sanitation solutions.
