Re: Sanitation in rural communities of Africa
Sanitation in rural community still a big challenge, more effort need to be done to make sure people are aware with sanitation and Hygiene practices, the most thing which are being done by local government and NGOs is creation of awareness to the community on good practices on sanitation and hygiene, but it needs often follow up as you know the community needs to keep them attention all the time in order to make sure that they see that this things are very important for the benefit of themselves. If the program will be based only for the a certain time 1-2 year the impact of it will be low because the program is based on mind set, so to change the mind set of the community it need a time as well require the government to take action to all who will not compile with by-laws of the place otherwise will not go anywhere

Sanitation in rural communities of Africa - campaign and advocate for the people in the rural areas to know the importance of sanitation to their health
Most of rural communities in Africa lack basic information on good sanitation and its effect on human being health so the best way to go is for the Non governmental Organization working on these filed to campaign and advocate for the people in the rural areas to know the importance of sanitation to their health, school children are the person to target on these programme because after learning it in schools they will able teach their parent and guardian how to practice good sanitation to avoid being sick and taken to hospital.
