Re: 18th SuSanA meeting in Stockholm: Videos and presentations available on the SuSanA website

Dear Elisabeth,

You-tube is banned in Pakistan, as you know already. Would it be possible for the SuSanA administration to put the presentations in USB and, mail the USB to me?

Re: 18th SuSanA meeting in Stockholm: Videos and presentations available on the SuSanA website

Dear all,

I am so happy that the second day of the SuSanA meeting was filmed (as I couldn't attend myself), and I have now added all the individual times to the post above so that you can jump straight into that part of the meeting that interests you the most.

The footage from Day 2 is provided in 3 videos of more than hour duration each, which is perhaps not as good as individual clips but it was easier and faster to upload it that way.

Now with the exact timings you can still easily find what you are interested in.

For example here you can view and listen to Trevor's presentation on the new SuSanA website at 1:13:00 - click on the blue hyperlink below:

Trevor at 1:13:00 for Trevor Surridge (GIZ, Germany): Launch of the New SuSanA Website

And here you can listen to Arno speak about the SuSanA Discussion Forum and where it is heading at 1:40:54:

Arno at 1:40:54 for Arno Rosemarin (SEI, Sweden): Update on SuSanA Discussion Forum

I think this video footage is excellent and gives a good impression of what was discussed. I know it's quite long but I can recommend listening to it like it's a radio podcast while doing a task that doesn't require much thinking or while doing the ironing, cleaning up the room etc. That's how I did it. ;-)

Thanks so much to the SuSanA secretariat and SEI for financing this (whoever paid for the film crew)!

If you have any questions about anything that was talked about in the SuSanA meeting, please put them here. I believe the minutes are also forthcoming and will soon be here:

Re: 18th SuSanA meeting in Stockholm: Videos and presentations available on the SuSanA website

Dear Members,

The video of the 18th SuSanA meeting filmed on the 6th of September is now available in the SuSanA website. All the presentations by the speakers (except the working groups presentations) have been uploaded in the same page as well.

Here's the link to the webpage:
www.susana.org/en/events/susana-meetings...na-meeting-stockholm

Part 1 of the second day of the SuSanA meeting:

If you would like to watch individual presentations in particular, please jump to the following timings (the blue times here are hyperlinked to take you to the right time in the video):

Arne at 14:19 for Arne Panesar (GIZ, Germany): Introduction to SuSanA

Katherine at 53:09 for Katherine Cross (IWA, UK): Water and Wastewater Companies for Climate Mitigation (WaCCliM)

Trevor at 1:13:00 for Trevor Surridge (GIZ, Germany): Launch of the New SuSanA Website

Hans at 1:26:36 for Hans Merton (Akvo, NL): SuSanA Website - Overview and Demonstration of the Integrated WIKI

Arno at 1:40:54 for Arno Rosemarin (SEI, Sweden): Update on SuSanA Discussion Forum

Part 2 of the video contains feedback from the working groups and a discussion on task force formation, SDGs and other topics:

Click on the blue hyperlinks below to jump to the correct place in the video:

1:08 Feedback about Working Group 1 meeting on Capacity Development (Dorothee Spuhler, seecon)

5:21 Feedback about Working Group 3 meeting on renewable energies and climate change (Stefan Reuter, BORDA)

10:59 Feedback about Working Group 6 meeting on cities (Arne Panesar, GIZ) - he spoke about the "Shift Flow Diagrams", a term that you may hear more often in future

13:01 Feedback about Working Group 7 meeting on community, rural and schools (Claudia Wendland, WECF)

17:50 Feedback about Working Group 9 meeting on sanitation as a business and public awareness (by Katja Neubauer, Water for People)

20:44 Feedback about Working Group 11 meeting on groundwater (Arne Panesar, GIZ) - this group merged with the "shit flow diagrams" group (part of working group 6 now)

22:04 General discussion about how the working groups can get action items done, using the SDG process to provide momentum, use of online meetings, regional meetings, using Trello for online project management, reducing the "signal to noise ratio" with the help of structuring discussions, ...

43:17 Discussion about formation of task forces and general discussion on: do we need task forces for topics on nexus, nutrition, monitoring of SDG targets? Functional sanitation ladder; question by Visvanath: "is SuSanA too intellectual? Too much talk on SDGs? The domain of se few, need reality check with on the ground work"; suggestion by Arno to re-visit the vision document, could be updated? Arne Panesar said it's our constitution though, would need to get renewed buy-in from partner organisations; Thilo mentioned humand rights; Madeleine mentioned institutions/governance (discussion moderated by Thilo Panzerbieter)

Part 3 of the video contains the wrap-up session moderated by Arne Panesar which included a discussion of upcoming events worldwide which are of relevance to SuSanA partners:

Re: 18th SuSanA meeting in Stockholm: 5 and 6 Sept. 2014 - with live streaming on 6 Sept. and twitter chats

Dear all,

If you have some minutes (or hours) to spare on your Saturday today, be sure to watch Day 2 of the SuSanA meeting on this live stream over the internet which is on right now:
susana.org/en/events/susana-meetings/201...ing-stockholm-sweden

I am watching it as I type this. It's working very nicely, with very good sound and picture (at least for me with a fast internet connection).

You can also follow on twitter by following the hashtag #18susana.

Greetings,
Elisabeth

Re: 18th SuSanA meeting in Stockholm: 5 and 6 Sept. 2014 - with live streaming on 6 Sept. and twitter chats

I have enjoyed reading some impressions on Twitter from the first day of the SuSanA Meeting, mainly by David Crosweller (Whereever the Need NGO). The short brisk statements on twitter help to get an impression on what was discussed and presented.

It is however important that the tweets include the agreed hashtag which is #18susana.

David used #susana in his tweets but that is not specific enough.
You can see his tweets here:
twitter.com/wtnUK

There were also some from Madeleine:
twitter.com/MadeleineFogde

and Vishvanath (impressive number of nearly 5000 followers):
twitter.com/zenrainman

and Katja Bessenova
twitter.com/KatjaBessonova

I hope to see more tweets tomorrow on Day 2 of the SuSanA Meeting. Make sure you include the hashtag #18susana.

I think the most important tweets should become part of the meeting minutes, especially if they contain an opinion or assessment or statement, as they are the most interesting.

It's all part of the social media outreach of SuSanA.

Greetings,
Elisabeth
