Job Description:
The Consultant’s Team Leader (TL) will be posted at the Ministry in charge of water to mainly provide technical support to the Director of the Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Department (DUWS) in ensuring that the objectives of the project regarding water supply and sanitation in low- income areas will be prominently addressed on the national level.


Qualifications:
- University degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Business Administration
- min. 10 years of experience in the field of expertise
- min. 5 years of working experience in development projects
- relevant working experience as Team Leader
- relevant working experience in Sub-Sahara Africa
- international working experience in the water supply & sanitation sector in the following areas:
institutional / policy development; up-scaling of water supply; pro-poor approach to water supply & sanitation; urban low income areas; water utility management; decentralized sanitation
- working experience within governmental institutional environments will be an asset
- Conversant with GIZ’s development philosophy and processes, including Capacity WORKS
- very good language skills in English, knowledge of German and Kiswahili would be an asset.

Duration:
30 months (June 2016 - December 2018)

Dar es Salaam
