CAWST Knowledge and Research Coordinator position

The Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technologies (CAWST) is a Canadian not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide technical training and consulting, and to act as a centre of expertise in water and sanitation for the poor in developing countries.

We are presently hiring a new member for our Research Learning team. The key role of this position includes the analysis and management of WASH technical knowledge from academia, grey literature, and the field experience of practitioners, and then sharing that knowledge, both within CAWST to ensure that staff are informed and current, as well as with partners and clients.

The three main tasks associated with this role are:
- Create innovative strategies and processes to transfer relevant knowledge to staff
- Capture knowledge from staff and clients
- Generate and disseminate new knowledge to the sector through innovative channels

We are looking for someone with a Masters level degree (or higher) in engineering, public health, science or related fields and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in water, sanitation, hygiene, or health in an international development context.

Experience in library and information science and of applying ICT (information communications technology) to knowledge management would be an asset.
