Re: World Poverty Clock (World Sanitation Clock?)

I like the idea. A highly visible, universally accepted measure could unify the sector and promote accountability. The practical questions: 1. Who updates the clock? 2. How do we make sure the clock is always visible -- "in our face" ?

World Poverty Clock (World Sanitation Clock?)

Dear All,

Yesterday I attended a 45 minutes GIZ webinar introducing the World Poverty Clock which is an interactive data model that tracks SDG 1 in real time and allows projections until 2030. This makes it possible for development partners to benchmark progress and allocate resources accordingly.

For more information on how it works, please follow the link: worldpoverty.io/

Could be something for us in the scetor e.g. a World Sanitation Clock to track progress of SDG 6 in real time, thus allowing projections until 2030!

Best regards,

Doreen
