Re: Visit the ORIAZ garden in Annecy, tree ecological buildings in Geneva and the VUNA fertilizer unit in Zurich.

Hello Chris

It is possible to use the ORIAZ Urinette sitting in a dry toilet designed with a split seat.

But for the flush toilet it is harder because of the round bowl.

With a flush toilet, the urinette is used standing for peeing, which is ok 80 % of the time.

But flush toilets are not ideal.
+++

Several people came last week to visit the ORIAZ test garden and more women have tried the ORIAZ urinette.

No shame or snobbery :-)

Tested for more than 6 months, the URINETTE is suitable for more than 90 % of the over 50 women who have tried it in France, Switzerland, Canada, Germany and Africa.

Several women have been using it every day for months.

> The Urinette and bottles are easy to maintain and do not develop odours.

I am therefore looking for financial support and pre-orders to launch series production to make low cost production.

I invite all NGOs, sponsors and communities to contact me for cooperation and pre-orders.

Re: Visit the ORIAZ garden in Annecy, three ecological buildings in Geneva and the VUNA fertilizer unit in Zurich.

Dear Robert,

Is it feasible for men and women to use the Urinette while simultaneously sitting on, and defecating in, a conventional flush toilet?

Have you experimented with dilution of the urine with graywater from showers, kitchen sinks, and laundries before application in the Solar Dripper?

Congrats on your important work, which I hope many people adopt and use.

Best wishes,
Chris

Re: Visit the ORIAZ garden in Annecy, three ecological buildings in Geneva and the VUNA fertilizer unit in Zurich.

Hello Chris

The method I have created uses simple bottles ( 500ml to 1.5L cola ) which are filled and then spread under trees or precisely applied to the garden with the ORIAZ Solar-Dripper.

The female collection is done with the ORIAZ Urinette designed to be used sitting or standing ( see attached file).

The collection requires only a bucket next to the WC for bottle deposit and to carry the bottles to the garden.

The bottles are emptied and rinsed every day which prevents the development of odors.

Some samples of the ORIAZ Urinette and Solar-Dripper were in the Susana stand at the last WWW in Stockholm.

Each person must adopt approximately 400 m² of plants including their garden, fruit trees, shrubs or ornamental trees.
This green surface receives every day (except days of deluge) a dose of fertilizing urine which remains under the European standard of 17 g / m² of Nitrogen per year.

The optimization of the spreading is done by applying the urine to the plants during the growth period and by respecting a monthly rate.

The results exceeded our expectations and we had abundant harvests tasted by more than 300 people in Annecy, Geneva, Dijon, Lyon, Lausanne, Zurich and in Stockholm during the world water week 2019.

No need for storage, no clogging, no odors.

The use of fertilizing urine is an ecological boon because it resolves 80% of the nitrogen pollution to the rivers and this fertilizer can be used the same day according to WHO repport.

You can see my method on these three videos:

presentation at the Rich Earth summit in 2021.
French TV visiting our garden in 2019.

See you soon !

Re: Visit the ORIAZ garden in Annecy, tree ecological buildings in Geneva and the VUNA fertilizer unit in Zurich.

Hi Robert,

Please tell us more about this system to rescue the urine from conventional flush toilets. Does it involve a hose going down the sewage pipe and coming out of a control box, once outside of the house?

I would also like to know more about the Pitribon and Aurin fertilizers, what they consist of, and how they are made.

Thanks for organizing these site visits. Please film them and post Youtube videos.

Best wishes,

Visit the ORIAZ garden in Annecy, tree ecological buildings in Geneva and the VUNA fertilizer unit in Zurich.

Three visits are organized in France and Switzerland to see sustainable sanitation experiences up close.

In Annecy I invite you on Sunday October 30 to see how urine is collected, dosed and applied to the garden and to indoor plants.
You will be able to try the Oriaz Urinette and see how to adapt a conventional toilet to recover 80% of the fertilizers from urine.
For 6 years, 3 tons of urine have been recovered in Annecy without odor problem and with affordable tools.
Tomatoes, squash are still growing and houseplants are on display.

Annecy, contact Robert Cossette +33 6 76 94 27 97

In Geneva on Tuesday Nov 1th , AN-ECO invites you to visit 3 projects with homes and appartments uring eco-sanitation.

Soubeyran : 38 appartments in Geneva
Cressy: Dry toilets with compost systems
Vergers: rotative toilet system and production of "Pitribon" fertilizer.

Contact Kayla Coppens +41 76 381 92 27

And finally on Wednesday Nov 2 you can see in Zurich how VUNA is making the AURIN fertilizer and donate in the Hy-tech R&D building washrooms.

Contact Bastian Ether +41 44 586 44 49

Sustainable sanitation is real and available !

See you soon.
