28 June global launch of the latest WHO update on the Burden of Disease Attributable to Unsafe Drinking-water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

Dear SuSanA friends,WHO, as the global custodian for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicator 3.9.2, will host a worldwide webinar on 28 June at 2 pm CEST, to unveil the latest WHO data report on the Burden of Disease Attributable to Unsafe Drinking-water, Sanitation, and Hygiene. You are welcome to attend the webinar and may register here: who.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_GdU0OVt5...Rjeo_A#/registration

WHO routinely generates estimates on the disease burden resulting from unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene. The new data are based on the most recent evidence on the impact of WASH interventions on key health outcomes and are better aligned with the SDG indicators. The estimates cover 183 WHO member countries and provide an update on the WASH-attributable burden of disease by region, age and sex.The webinar includes a presentation of key findings and methodologies from the 2019 estimates, a case study from India, a panel representing WASH, health and environment organizations discussing the importance and practical applications of these data, and opportunities for questions and answers.
