Dear Sabrina,

Thanks so much for uploading all the materials of the FSM4 event. It is indeed very useful. Request you to also share the keynote presentations made by Mr. Pravin Prakash and Mr. Param Iyer at FSM4? Currently, they are not uploaded.

Re: “FSM Kenya/India workshop on 23rd of February 2017 in Chennai – Materials available now”

Dear all,

Kindly note that summaries and presentations of all sessions of the FSM Kenya/India workshop at FSM4 in Chennai are now available on here

The key objective of the workshop was to foster the role of FSM in modern urban sanitation systems. The workshop drew precursors for city-wide sanitation during planning and enabling environment framework conditions to be addressed for successful up-scaling of FSM solutions. Differentiators while handling typical city conditions versus urban poor needs as well as independent versus complementary wastewater management solutions were unbundled with practical case examples from India and Kenya.

The learning objectives were:

a)Sharing and transmitting among participants best practices for use in FSM
planning and implementation within a whole system approach.
b)Reflection/feedback on precursors for sustainable sanitation planning, applicability
of framework conditions, enabling environment requirements for upscaling and
management in modern urban sanitation systems.

Best regards,

Martin

Dear all,
FSM4 ended on Thursday with workshops and we are happy so many people came to FSM4! It was a great time in Chennai! Some more impressions:

@Elisabeth, to follow up on your question:

There was no livestream available, however for some sessions there might be voice recording. We will upload presentations and posters to our availability on the Website, but this still might take some more days as it is a lot of content material!

Re: 4th International Faecal Sludge Management Conference - 19-22 February 2017 in Chennai, India - Meet us at the SuSanA Booth!

Here attached is the presentation I made at the FSM4 session on knowledge management.

Some of the questions from the audience included:

1. how many of the 8000 members are active on the Forum (answer about 1% are very active
www.wikiwand.com/en/1%25_rule_(Internet_culture)

2.how can the impact of the current development project be measured - what parameters? We use Web Analytics to assess different activities and KM impact parameters relating to sharing, learning and implementation of new knowledge.

3. What about future regional emphasis - We do not aim to compete with established national or regional networks or platforms but aim to complement these. The India chapter of SuSanA has recently been started and the MENA chapter is a new focus.

Re: 4th International Faecal Sludge Management Conference - 19-22 February 2017 in Chennai, India - Meet us at the SuSanA Booth!

That's a very cool flyer, thank you.

For those of us who weren't able to travel to Chennai: is there any live streaming from the sessions this week?
The live streaming from the SuSanA meeting in Chennai on Saturday worked superbly! I had it on my mobile phone and took it with me everywhere, to the kids' soccer matches, in the car, shopping... I treated it like listening to something live on the radio (the only downside was that as I used my mobile phone for the live streaming, I couldn't follow or tweet on Twitter at the same time which was a bummer).

So we know it's possible to live stream from Chennai, therefore I hope some of the conference will also be live streamed? If not, will it be filmed and the recordings made available afterwards?

Regards,
Elisabeth
