Webinar: Facilitating collaboration in Nexus of research, practice and funding for WASH; 28th June, 11am East Africa time.

Research findings are often complex, untimely and time consuming for practitioners to interpret, contextualize and use directly. This hinders uptake of research. On the other hand, practitioners are often busy implementing projects and rarely have time to update on state of the art research. Furthermore, funding that supports research practice collaborations is limited. However, funding, research, and practice activities can be synergized at different levels to provide solutions at different scopes. This presentation will share insights for such a collaboration in an ongoing pilot case, which is at its early stages, facilitated by Sandec Eawag’s Knowledge brokerage function. It is being implemented in Kenya with partners including water utilities, government entities and Kenyan universities.

The presentation will also showcase how existing platforms can be used to leverage opportunities for synergies in research, practice & funding
