WASH and Behaviour Change Online Training Course

International WaterCentre's (IWC) 10 week WASH and Behaviour Change online training course is a highly interactive program designed to empower WASH practitioners to incorporate behaviour change strategies into their project design and delivery.
Key topics
The course is designed to be practical in nature, providing participants with the necessary information to incorporate behaviour change strategies into WASH programs. Topics will include:
--The need for, and role of, behaviour change integration into WASH programs[/li]
--Alternatives to education and awareness strategies for changing behaviours[/li]
--Planning and designing interventions that address risky WASH behaviours[/li]
--Using behaviour change strategies, and implementing and evaluating behaviour change interventions within WASH programs.
Course objectives
The aim is for students to understand when behaviour change strategies should be integrated into WASH programs, and be able to use practical tools to guide the integration of behaviour change into WASH programs.
Who should participate
WASH practitioners working in civil society or non-government organisations, government institutions, donor organisations, and the water/sanitation/hygiene industries. The course especially caters to those in tropical zones (such as the Asia-Pacific region).

The course format will include interactive classrooms, flipped learning, quizzes, group projects, discussion forums, facilitated learning.
Course requirements
This is a professional development course in integrating behaviour change strategies into WASH programs. Students are expected to have basic background knowledge of WASH activities and strategies.
You will also need access to a computer with:
--a minimum internet speed of 256kb/second (to participate in live classrooms),
--either Microsoft Windows (version XP or greater: XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or 8 ) or Apple OSX (version 10.2 or greater)
--permission to download, install, and run software on your computer as this may be required.
