to date, we have over 5'000 participants from 167 countries enrolled in our MOOC about Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage. 50% are from emerging economies. 507 participants received a statement of accomplishment for completing the course. the distributio per region is: 29% North America, 24% Europe, 20% Asia, 17% Africa, 8% South America, 2% Oceania.

I am curious to know how many people took this course (either partially or all the way to the end to get a certificate)? Just trying to get a feel for how popular these MOOCs are these days in the WASH sector.

Today, our MOOC about “Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage” starts. Join us on coursera (www.coursera.org/course/hwts) where you can take the course for free! The MOOC goes until July 5th, 2015, and is in English with French and Spanish subtitles.

In the course you can learn about the most important household-level water treatment methods, successful implementation strategies, and strategies for monitoring and evaluation.
