We're excited to share that Children and Young People Living for Peace (CYPLP) – your local NGO in Nigeria working for children's well-being www.cyplp.net.ng, registration number 7037430 – has been selected to participate in the Africa Impact Fundraising Grant Program, sponsored by the New Africa Fund, USA (www.newafricafund.org).This April (April 1st-30th, 2025), we have a crucial opportunity to advance WASH as a fundamental right for children in our community. The New Africa Fund will match every donation we receive after an initial $500 goal, dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000! This means we can unlock up to $10,000 to significantly expand our work in:

• Researching Local WASH Needs: Understanding the specific water, sanitation, and hygiene challenges impacting children in our communities to develop effective solutions.

• Hygiene Education in Schools: Empowering students with essential knowledge and practices for good hygiene, preventing illness and promoting health. 
• 
  
• Community WASH Training: Equipping teachers, parents, and community leaders with the skills to implement and maintain healthy WASH practices.
• Advocating for WASH Access: Engaging with local authorities and policymakers to prioritize access to clean water and sanitation for all children.
• Supporting Health and Well-being: Recognizing that improved WASH directly contributes to the psycho-social well-being and overall health of children, reducing vulnerability.
