- SuSanA secretariat currently allocates 2 full time person equivalents of time from members of GIZ Sustainable Sanitation Team: Arne Panesar, Alexandra Dubois, Maren Heuvels, Teresa Häberlein, Daphne Manolakos and Bettina-Sophie Heinz.
We’re excited to introduce two experienced professionals joining our team as SFD Reviewers!
🔹 Paresh Chhajed-Picha is an India-based independent consultant with over 12 years of experience in sanitation planning. He has played a key role in developing tools to aid sanitation planning in the global south and has facilitated their adoption through training and user support initiatives. His doctoral research focused on the use of the SFD tool, with findings published and presented at numerous national and international forums.
🔹 Ambrose Kibuuka Owembabazi is a WASH Consultant with over nine years of experience, specializing in infrastructure design, public health engineering, and environmental policy analysis. With extensive experience across Sub-Saharan Africa, he has collaborated with international organizations such as GIZ, IRC, USAID, and WSUP. Ambrose has contributed to the development of over 15 SFDs in Uganda and three in Kenya. He also specializes in capacity building, research, and developing training modules on faecal sludge management and sustainable WASH practices.
We look forward to their valuable contributions to strengthening sanitation planning and implementation!
