We happily invite you to the upcoming 4th Webinar "Linking the Water-Energy-Food Nexus to Sanitation in the WANA Region" of the series of four “Sanitation Plus” webinars by the SuSanA Regional Chapter West Asia and North Africa (WANA) as well as WG WASAM of the GIZ Mediterranean Environmental Sector Network (SN MEN-REM), taking place on the 5th October 2023, 11.00 - 12.30 CEST.
The objective of the Webinar is to understand the link between the Water-Energy-Food(WEF) Nexus and sanitation, by examining cross-cutting themes between sanitation, food security, climate change and water stress in the region.

The objective of the Webinar is to highlight sanitation workers’ rights from a human rights perspective including work legal struggles, working conditions, and violations reported by workers in the WANA region by introducing the participants to different challenges and insights from the field but also presenting possible ways forward and solutions. The speakers will illustrate their work and practices using examples from different countries (Jordan, Iraq).

We happily invite you to the upcoming series of four “Sanitation Plus” webinars by the SuSanA Regional Chapter West Asia and North Africa (WANA) as well as WG WASAM of the GIZ Mediterranean Environmental Sector Network (SN MEN-REM), taking place between

The overal lobjectives for the webinar series are to:
· Share examples of intersectional and cross-cutting issues within the field of sanitation in the WANA region
· Motivate participants to share examples from their work and shape the debate and future developments in the field of sanitation within the region
· Elevate voices of sanitation experts from different fields (development cooperation, research, practitioners etc.)
· Further exchange between different countries of the WANA region
Schedule:
The webinars are scheduled for the first week of each month, planned for 90 minutes each and will feature between 2 - 4 speakers from different backgrounds. The exact dates will be announced 2 weeks before the webinar.
