Introducing Tearfund: a current partner organisation of SuSanA
This is an introduction to one of our current partners.
The following text is taken directly from their application form and was written by the partner organisation themselves.
Description:
Tearfund is a UK-based Christian relief and development agency working through a global network of churches to help eradicate poverty. Tearfund supports local partners in more than 50 developing countries and has operational programmes in response to specific disasters.
Activities in Sustainable Sanitation:
We have been supporting best practice from evaluating our work of applying CLTS and other demand led livlihood approaches and researching into that as well. We have produced publications on these issues. We are also working to achieve sustainability in our sanitation projects.
Expectations in the Partnership:
We expect this to be a forum for learning and sharing, as an opportunity to see and understand applied good practice that is appropriate to us. We will also feedback on the impact of that and what we see as alternatives or variations.
Contribution to SuSanA:
Tearfund can contribute learning and sharing from our work and general network involvement.
Partner since: June 2012
