Last chance! Contribute to the Global Survey on Menstrual Hygiene Management

Dear colleagues,

Columbia University, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), UNICEF, UNFPA, and UNHCR invite you to share your expertise with us as we work to improve the lives of displaced girls and women around the world. To help us all create environments in which girls and women can live with dignity, we hope to capture documentation on local menstrual management practices in regions around the world.

Our aim is to collect existing information (through a short survey) on the unique aspects of managing menstruation in each context, such as material and supply preference, hygiene practices, and cultural beliefs. Your responses will aid in the creation of an open-access database, describing local MHM practices for the purposes of a rapid, culturally appropriate, response if an emergency arises. The database will ultimately be posted on a publicly accessible website for the global humanitarian response community.

We hope you take just a few minutes to fill out the Global Survey on Menstrual Hygiene Management as best you can, as any information will be useful in this worldwide effort.

The last day to complete the survey is November 10, 2017.

Although directly consulting with girls and women is a priority, this database aims to expand the information available on menstrual practices through whatever existing information is available to better enable organizations to plan and respond to the critical MHM needs of girls and women. Please share with additional colleagues and networks who may be able to provide critical input on this!

Thank you in advance for your support!
