Introducing Ingenieure ohne Grenzen e.V. (Engineers without Borders, German Chapter): a new partner organisation of SuSanA

We would like to welcome Ingenieure ohne Grenzen e.V. (Engineers without Borders, German Chapter) as new SuSanA partner organisation.

The following text is taken directly from their application form and was written by the partner organisation themselves.

Description:
Ingenieure ohne Grenzen e.V. provides technical support: We support people, whose basic infrastructure does not exist or is endangered, whatever their gender, skin colour, philosophy of life or religion is. Our aim is to support people, for whom technical cooperation is essential and possible. The centre of attention of our efforts is to secure basic services and to respect human rights. Ingenieure ohne Grenzen e.V. was founded in 2003. We solve urgent problems in the following fields to improve the living conditions of the people: water-, sanitation- and energy supply as well as bridge construction. Successful development cooperation means to us to develop and realise reliable and robust solutions together with our local partners. It is essential for our work to realise the projects and to transfer know-how to other relief organisations and beneficiaries. Effective assistance means, that a project only is finished if the local people can continue this project on their own – help people to help themselves.

Activities in Sustainable Sanitation:
Ingenieure ohne Grenzen e.V. has five different expert groups: Water, sanitation, renewable energies, building and bridge construction as well as intercultural communication. The expert group sanitation was founded in 2009. However Ingenieure ohne Grenzen carries out projects since the beginning in 2003.

Expectations in the Partnership:
Ingenieure ohne Grenzen expects an professional exchange and discussion of sanitation projects.

Contribution to SuSanA
Ingenieure ohne Grenzen wants to share the experience of projects and to share new solutions to be implemented.

Andreas Feldmann is the SuSanA contact person for Ingenieure ohne Grenzen e.V.
