International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is looking for a Country Representative - Sri Lanka

The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is seeking a dynamic leader with exceptional management aptitude and a deep understanding of water, land and agricultural development challenges and opportunities in Sri Lanka.
PURPOSE
The Country Representative (CR) posted at IWMI Headquarters represents the Institute in Sri Lanka, maintaining strong links with national and international partners. The primary responsibilities are: (i) manages research staff, interns and consultants assigned to IWMI's Sri Lanka office; (ii) coordinates business development in Sri Lanka to sustain and grow a viable funding pipeline; (iii) develops and strengthens relationships with government agencies, national research organizations and implementing partners to expand and promote uptake of IWMI’s research outputs; (iv) people management, financial management, governance and risk management, and research quality control; represent the Institute at specific national level forums; and (v) participate in IWMI research programs aligned with personal expertise.
It is expected that the CR will spend a minimum of 55% of his/her time on duties representing IWMI and managing people and operations, with the remaining time on project-specific research activities.
