Mughal
IWA is very restrictive with sharing presentations from conferences. Even if one is a member one has to have attended the meeting in person (ie have paid the registration) to get access to the abstracts and e-posters online. PPTs are not available.

So I am sorry I can't do any magic. Best therefore is to contact the authors themselves.

Re: Water and Development Congress & Exhibition 2017

Dear Elisabeth,

I appreciate your point of view. I'll, however, wait. I'm sure, Dr. Anro will somehow figure the way out.
He is, after all, a senior officer.

Re: Water and Development Congress & Exhibition 2017

Well, I stand to be corrected but as far as I know it is indeed IWA policy to NOT make conference presentations available after their conference for the reason I mentioned above. Being an IWA member or not won't make any difference. Sorry. Not good, I know, but it's their business model, and it seems to work for them, so not much we can do about that.
So I think your only route in this case is to contact the authors of the presentations individually and to look out for any open access papers that might be published later based on the conference papers.

Re: Water and Development Congress & Exhibition 2017

Dear Dr. Arno,

Yes, I agree with your point of view. In order to reach the masses, the proceedings of important congresses need to be widely available. I'm sure, your IWA membership will pay of.

Re: Water and Development Congress & Exhibition 2017

Hi Mughal
I am currently a member of the IWA and have requested access to this material. It doesn't look like it has been put together for mass distribution. If IWA has no strict standards for making proceedings and presentations available from their large congresses, this is a serious flaw in their set up.

Re: Water and Development Congress & Exhibition 2017

The presentations from IWA conferences are usually not made available online for free after the event. A pity but it seems to be IWA policy (I was told the worry is that people would not come to the conferences anymore if the presentations were available online for free afterwards). I think it's a pity. The papers might get published later in the IWA journals. Perhaps some will be open access.

Your best bet is probably to contact the authors whose presentations you are interested in. The author names are in the program and e-mail addresses can often be found via Google. Good luck!

I'm looking for the papers presented and presentations made at the above event. I contacted IWA but there is no response.
