Re: Citywide FSM assessment and planning toolkit - PAS Project, CEPT University

Dear Elisabeth,

Thanks for showing interest in our SaniPlan - IFSM toolkit.

We are in discussions and working together with AIT for development of FSM toolbox and for integrating SaniPlan-IFSM toolkit in the overall IFSM Tolbox being developed. AIT team is reviewing the possibility of internalizing the tool as a part of the FSM toolbox.

The SaniPlan is a comprehensive model which was prepared based on our experience under the PAS Project. It is a tool for citywide WSS planning. SANIPLAN, has been used for preparation of several City Sanitation Plans in Maharashtra by the CEPT team. It has also been used by other agencies in India. (SaniPlan link : www.pas.org.in/Portal/document/Resources...s/Tool_SANIPLAN.xlsm )

SANIPLAN has been adapted for IFSM planning. For this purpose, CEPT has developed a web based toolkit (Toolkit link : sites.google.com/site/pasprojectifsmguide/ )

Regards,
Aasim

Re: Citywide FSM assessment and planning toolkit - PAS Project, CEPT University

Dear Aasim,

Thanks for telling us about your new Citywide FSM assessment and planning toolkit. I am just wondering if there is any relationship with the toolkit developed by AIT and partners, mentioned on the forum here:
forum.susana.org/forum/categories/53-fae...hailand-and-partners ?

If not, then is your toolkit filling gaps that the other one is not addressing? Would there be an opportunity to integrate the two toolkits?

With whom are you testing your toolkit now or how are you rolling it out?

Kind regards,
Elisabeth

Citywide FSM assessment and planning toolkit - PAS Project, CEPT University

Hi All,

We would like to inform you all that our team has developed an online toolkit on Citywide FSM assessment and planning.

The tools have been organized around five key areas. The idea is to assess the current situation of FSM around these five key areas which are important to consider while developing an FSM plan that is technically appropriate and financially feasible at local level.

Following is the link to the FSM toolkit : sites.google.com/site/pasprojectifsmguid...me?previewAsViewer=1

Please do get back to us if you have any queries.

Thanks.

Regards,
Aasim
