After a long working process and sound revision of many German experts, the DWA Working Paper DWA-A 272 “Grundsätze für die Planung und Implementierung Neuartiger Sanitärsysteme (NASS) (Juni 2014)” (English title: “Basic rules for planning and implementation of New Alternative Sanitation Systems (NASS)”) has been published in June 2014 (in German).

The German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) is the leading German organization for experts in the related fields and one of the largest organizations of its kind in Europe.

As the DWA defines the state-of-the-art for many thousands of planers and decision-makers in Germany and beyond, the release of the DWA-A 272 working paper is a big leap forward regarding the implementation of sustainable sanitation methods and technologies in Germany. And hopefully this will just be the start of many more to come.
