Welcome to the African Water,Sanitation & Hygiene Magazine Sept-Oct 2012 Vol 7 No.4.Please take note that the publication has been renamed and hygiene has now been included to the title for the reason that the terms i.e.water , sanitation & hygiene are inseparable in health due to that three components are major requirement
in elimination of faecal oral route etc.Please visit the editorial in the magazine for full text.

We also welcome your comments for various topic issues in the magazine.The comments may be published in the next issue.

We were naive to assume that Sanitation Updates was an open source had decided to take the initiative to bring awareness and information exchange in the water and sanitation sectors to our readers in conformity with the World Bank reports that Raising Awareness on water, sanitation and hygiene is an important matter in human development through their contribution to (1) health (2) economy (3) wellbeing (dignity, equity, convenience and time saving) (4) environment protection etc.
In the future we will acknowledge the source.

Welcome to the Africa Water,Sanitation & Hygiene Jan-Feb 2013 Vol.8 No.1 edition.

January was a short month and December being a holiday period, we had a very limited time am afraid to say to compile this current edition.But the most difficult task was to find support to meet publishing costs. Thanks to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Kenya among others without whose assistance the production of this edition would not have been possible.

As always, we will strive to bring out the next edition (Mar-Apr 2013) early enough for the World Water Day 2013 to be observed on March 22.
