I am planning to attend the IWA conference in Busan, South Korea this year from 16th - 21st September. So i wanted to know who all from SUSANA group are planning to attend this conference and whether there is any internal meeting of this group being planned during this event.

If yes, please do let me know as i would like to attend this internal meeting.

I know that Jonathan Parkinson (lead WG 2), Günter Langergraber (lead WG 10) and me are going.

We are just in the stage of preparing a session at the SG island at the Busan conference. It will probably be a joint-session of the SG Resources-Oriented Sanitation, SG Small Water and Wastewater Systems and SuSanA with the title "Importance of sustainable services for functioning water supply and sanitation services" but we will keep you informed as soon as we have finished our preparation.

Dear all, looking forward to meeting you at the SuSanA meeting on Wednesday lunchtime if not before at one of the social occasions or technical sessions / workshops that we have got lined up. The main USI sessions are on Thursday you will find details at tinyurl.com/9sgpvo4 and tinyurl.com/d5ko4vo. I will be making a presentation on “IWA’s Urban Sanitation Initiative – responding to the challenges of urban sanitation” at 15.00 on Tuesday at the IWA stand. I expect to be around as much as I can on the 'Development Hub' - I will send out more information about the programme of activities later today.

On Monday, after the Opening workshop 08:15 – 09:45) on "Inspiring change to meet a challenging future" chaired by IWA's Executive Director, Paul Reiter, featuring, there will be be the Presidential address at 10:30 followed by Keynote speeches from
11:30-12:00 by Jaehyang So (World Bank - Water and Sanitation Program) on "Building innovative partnerships in the water sector" and by Soo-Gil Young (Chairman Presidential Committee on Green Growth Korea) on "Green growth and Korea’s policy toward water and wastewater".

Running in parallel to the "Opening workshop" at 08:15 – 09:45 there are two technical sessions on "Rural areas of the future—what are the best wastewater management strategies?" and "Developing countries and sustainable systems""

After the Key note speeches, during lunchtime there are will be a workshop organised by BORDA and IWA on "Sustainable wastewater management - operation and maintenance management models" with a presentation by BORDA who will present the O&M approach of AKSANSI, the Indonesia association of the community-based organizations followed by a discussion about approaches towards sustainable O+M of wastewater services.
