Urban sanitation strategy

Ethiopia is being developing urban sanitation strategy through the leader ship of ministry of health.there is big challenge in terms of creating strong partnership and coordination mechanism by all stakeholders involved in urban sanitation. The bigger challenge is for Addis Ababa city.what do you advise the ministry of health to develop practical strategy that bring all actors on board(from other developing country city experience).

Re: Urban sanitation strategy

This is a very complicated topic, but there are some interesting approached lately.

Definitely have a look at the innovations the IWA are doing in that field. Posted on this board by Dr. Parkinson:

Here in Uganda the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is also trying to come up with better stakeholder collaboration, for example through the WASH project database: www.kcca.go.ug/projects.php?p=water_forum
