WE ARE WORKING WITH A STATE GOVERNMENT IN NIGERIA TO IMPROVE WATER AND SANITATION IN THE TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS. HOWEVER, THE STATE GOVERNMENT LACKS THE REQUIRED FUND TO IMPLEMENT SOME OF THE KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM. THEREFORE, WE ARE LOOKING AT THE POSSIBILITY TO TAP THE POWER OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR WITH RETURNS RANGING FROM BRANDING OF THE FACILITIES TO PUBLIC ENDORSEMENT OF THEIR PRODUCTS. WE ARE AWARE THAT SO FAR, 93 MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS HAVE COMMITTED TO THE UN GLOBAL COMPACT’S CEO WATER MANDATE: A PUBLIC –PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP TO ADVANCE WATER SUSTAINABILITY. WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANYONE HAVE THE LIST TO KINDLY SHARE WITH US TO ENABLE US IDENTIFY THOSE THAT WE CAN WORK WITH. CURRENTLY, WE ARE WORKING ON THE UNVEILING OF THE JUST PASSED WATER POLICY AND IT WOULD BE VERY IMPORTANT TO INVITE THESE MULTINATIONALS TO THAT CEREMONY AS OUR FIRST POINT OF ENGAGEMENT.
