Request for Applications for country/regional WASH innovation partners

Results for Development Institute (R4D) is excited to announce a request for applications to become a Country or Regional Partner for a new center focused on scaling innovations in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector.

This center is a new initiative managed by R4D and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. The center will identify the most promising and innovative WASH programs, policies and practices, and facilitate their scale-up by connecting these programs to others in the field, policy makers, researchers and potential funders, as well as key tools and services they need.

To make this happen, we are looking for Country or Regional Partners who will work with R4D to employ a three-pronged approach:

IDENTIFY | Provide comprehensive, up-to-date information about programs with the potential to improve the way education systems operate for the poor.

ANALYZE | Analyze programs in order to translate good practices and build the body of research on non-state innovations and their role in education systems.

CONNECT | Connect those who are implementing, funding, and analyzing programs in order to facilitate the scale-up and adaptation of successful models.

R4D will provide grants to an initial group of 2 to 3 Country or Regional Partners based in low and middle-income countries to identify and document innovative WASH programs and facilitate linkages among stakeholders in their country or region, including program implementers, policymakers, researchers and funders. Please review the attached Request for Applications (RFA) to learn more about the project and the role of Country/Regional Partners. Or download the application and attachments here: r4d.org/about-us/press-room/request-appl...ing-wash-innovations

If your organization is interested in applying to become a Partner, please send an email indicating that you plan to apply and with any questions you may have.

If you know of any organizations that would be interested in becoming a WASH innovation center Country or Regional Partner, thank you in advance for helping us spread the word and sharing this RFA widely to your networks.

The deadline to submit applications is Monday, November 24th, 2014 at 11:59pm EST. Questions about the RFA should be submitted by October 24th, and responses will be provided by November 7th.

All applications and questions should be emailed to Sophie Edwards at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
