Introducing International WaterCentre (IWC): A new partner organisation of SuSanA

We would like to welcome the International WaterCentre (IWC) from Australia as a new SuSanA partner organisation.

The following text is taken directly from their application form and was written by the partner organisation themselves.

Description:
The International WaterCentre (IWC) provides the most advanced education, training, applied research and knowledge services to develop capacity and promote whole-of-water-cycle approaches to integrated water management around the world.

IWC's vision 'Water leadership for the future' is built on a strong foundation of world class capability of four leading Australian universities. A joint venture of The University of Queensland, Griffith University, Monash University and The University of Western Australia, IWC is helping change the way people think about, act and solve complex water management challenges. Because of its linkages with national and international networks and partners, IWC provides a breadth of expertise and experience rarely found in a single organisation. Whilst Australian based, IWC is conducting projects worldwide including Australia, Asia-Pacific and Africa.

Activities in Sustainable Sanitation:
Improvements to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) are fundamental to the development of communities for nearly 2.6 billion of the world's population. The International WaterCentre (IWC) seeks to raise awareness, build global capacity and contribute to reaching the UN Millennium Development Goals through its education and training, applied research and expert services. IWC is an active member of a growing community of practice in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. More information at: www.watercentre.org/research/research-th...nitation-and-hygiene

Expectations in the Partnership:
We would like to share news and content about our activities in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)

Contribution to SuSanA:
We can keep SuSanA members up-to-date with events and projects (and funding opportunities) available through the International WaterCentre and in the WASH field.

Delphine Gonchond is the SuSanA contact person for International WaterCentre.
