SanCop 20 Inclusion in global sanitation and hygiene services: exploring the current state of knowledge, practice, gaps and emerging issues.

We are happy to announce the details of our next SanCoP event (agenda to follow).

The topic for the event will be Inclusion in global sanitation and hygiene services: exploring the current state of knowledge, practice, gaps and emerging issues.

While the global sanitation and hygiene sector has come a long way in addressing inclusion for access there is still much to be done to improve services for users. The evidence around what works and doesn’t is still largely anecdotal and there is now a need to understand the current state of knowledge within the sector and where evidence gaps still exist

The day will start by reviewing the extent to which global sanitation and hygiene services are inclusive through presentations from a range of industry experts. The event will then focus on facilitated group discussions exploring what needs to be done to further improve inclusion.

Topics to be covered will include inclusion in relation to Menopause, Incontinence, LGBTI, Inclusion in emergencies, Menstrual Hygiene Management, Disabilities and Gender.

The event is being kindly hosted by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on Thursday 23rd November, 10.30am until 4.30pm.
