Call for Abstracts: 2012 Water and Health Conference: Science, Policy and Innovation

Based on feedback received, a sanitation focused theme, “Making Sanitation Benefits Achievable and Sustainable for All” has been added to the 2012 Water and Health Conference. In addition, the themes “Household-centered WaSH,” and “WaSH and Child Health” focus on sanitation. We are seeking proposals for all themes, but in particular those that are centered on sanitation.

The full list of conference themes for the 2012 conference is:
  • Making Sanitation Benefits Achievable and Sustainable for All
  • Monitoring and Evaluation for Sustainability
  • Ecosystem Protection and Drinking Water Safety
  • Beyond 2012: Realizing Universal Access and Human Rights
  • Household-centered WaSH
  • WaSH and Child Health
  • Southeastern U.S. Water Challenges
  • Water, Energy and Climate
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations may now be submitted electronically via the conference website . The submission deadline is April 30, 2012.

Scholarships will once again be available to authors from low and middle income countries, and up to 50% of the scholarships will be awarded to those who submit abstracts before March 15, 2012.

This year's conference will take place October 29 through November 2 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. More information about the conference and registration can be found here whconference.unc.edu . We hope to see you in October.
